Designing a touring exhibition programme

    Our task was to create the overarching brand identity for the programme. The brand was required to identify the exhibition and link all the related activities. As the programme rolled out across different locations along the coast. The brand built awareness and appeared consistently wherever the programme went.

    Reviewing the variety of artforms and stories involved in the programme, we believed it was necessary to create an identity that could provide a link without overwhelming the creativity of the works themselves. A purely typographic solution to the brand best suited the task, allowing the individuality of the works to speak for themselves.

    In addition to the brand itself we designed the exhibition catalogue and created the all-important signage for the Telling Stories: Hastings exhibition. Signs and banners were located at the roadside and at entrance to the exhibition itself, helping draw people into the exhibition.
